Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Release Date: December 2nd, 2010 by Dutton
Details: 372 pages, hardcover
Series: Kind.... of?
Source: Bought from Borders
Rating: 6 out of 5 (yes, I'm serious!)
Summary (goodreads):

Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris—until she meets Étienne St. Claire: perfect, Parisian (and English and American, which makes for a swoon-worthy accent), and utterly irresistible. The only problem is that he's taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her almost-relationship back home.

As winter melts into spring, will a year of romantic near-misses end with the French kiss Anna—and readers—have long awaited?

So I thought that maybe if I had time to let the book settle then I'd have a better clear review to give you guys. But... that didn't really work out lol! I think it works better if I write a review as soon as I'm done with the book.

First of all, this book lives up to all it's hype. Anna and the French Kiss is the most adorable read I've ever read! It's as contemporary as contemporary gets but it's so... *sigh*. Seriously, can't be put into words!

I'll admit some parts were a little slow moving, and other parts were too fast moving! Or maybe I was just reading it too fast because I wanted to see what would happen next. Who knows! Anna is a very easy to relate to. I could imagine myself as her and in her situation and I could honestly say, I would probably do what she did. I'm horrible when it comes to learning a language and as much as I would LOVE to learn French... I would be horrible at it (which is probably whats taking me so long)! The drama between her and her parents and her friends are realistic. I actually really liked Anna. If she was a real person, I'd want to be her friend. I loved her humor as well and I absolutely enjoyed being inside her head. I also loved how everything that was emphasized was in caps. I don't know why, but I thought that was really cool.

St. Claire. What can I say about him that hasn't been said already by many other bloggers? I didn't think I would swoon over him (even though I LOVE his last name) but alas, I did. I was sucked in. Okay, here's the thing. I love St. Claire. I'm sorry Anna, but I do. First of all, he's funny. He's got a sense of humor. He seems like a really nice and honest person. He has an accent! He's easy to talk to and the biggest thing? He likes history. OMG! I'm a huge history nerd. I love all things history. I love how determined he was to help Anna explore Paris. The whole time their friendship was building was adorable. The whole time their friendship was falling apart was adorable. The way St. Claire showed how much he cared, was adorable. I think you're getting the picture here. St. Claire and everything about and around him? Adorable! No, but really, he was a really awesome and realistic character that we all wish was.... real.

The journey of Anna and her new life in Paris was exciting. She might have hated it but I thought it was pretty darn exciting. How often does someone get to school in Paris... courtesy of their parents?! Upset or not, enjoy it Anna! A free trip to Paris!! It amazes me how much researching Stephanie put into this book to make it real. I couldn't imagine writing a book about a place I've never been to! But it was amazing. I loved the point zero star thing and I wanted to walk down all the streets Anna walked down. I wanted to visit the shop with the Macaroons, mostly because I love Macaroons and half way through this book I did dive an hour away from home to get Macaroons lol!

I don't know what else to say except that... if you haven't read this book by now, you seriously need to. You won't regret it, I promise!
