Summary:
Mysterious. Magnificent. Creepy. Welcome to Rockford Manor.

"There's something hidden in the Maze." Seventeen-year-old Imogen has never forgotten the last words her father said to her seven years ago, before the blazing fire that consumed him, her mother, and the gardens of her family's English country manor.

Haunted by her parents' deaths, Imogen moves to New York City with her new guardians. But when a letter arrives with the news of her cousin's untimely death, revealing that Imogen is now the only heir left to run the estate, she returns to England and warily accepts her role as duchess.

All is not as it seems at Rockford, and Imogen quickly learns that dark secrets lurk behind the mansion's aristocratic exterior, hinting that the spate of deaths in her family were no accident. And at the center of the mystery is Imogen herself--and Sebastian, the childhood friend she has secretly loved for years. Just what has Imogen walked into?

Combining a fresh twist on the classic REBECCA with a spine-tingling mystery and powerful romance, SUSPICION is an action-packed thrill ride.

Suspicion is a title I was most looking forward to and couldn't believe I actually got approved for! Can we just take a moment to admire that mysterious cover? Cause seriously, it's pretty amazing.

Imogen's life was pretty great as a kid. She took vacations to her wealthy family's home in England. Played with her cousin and their neighbor Sebastian and were just regular high class kids who didn't have a care in the world. Until one night everything in Imogen's life was suddenly gone. She was being shipped off to New York to live with family friends and that's where she would stay. Away from England, away from the memories, away from her family.

Until one day she gets mail from family in England and her adoptive family is suddenly acting strange, hiding things from her. Determined to know what's going on she finds a contact to her only remaining family to learn that her dear cousin has passed and now the house of memories belongs to her.

Imogen is placed in a tough spot; stay in New York or face her past and take her rightful place?

Imogen's decides to return to England and things start to get a little weird. First there's a fire set in her bedroom trashcan and other things that don't make sense. Like Sebastian. And what happened to her cousin, what was going on between them while she was gone?

I liked Imogen, she was easy to relate to and you would find yourself rooting for her to get to the bottom of all of these secrets both in New York and in England. You understood her frustration with Sebastian and not knowing what's really going on. I also really liked Sebastian's younger brother as well as Imogen's good friend and butler who always had her best interest in mind.

Suspicion takes you on an incredible journey through mystery, betrayal, finding forgiveness for others and yourself. I seem to be enjoying a lot of novels lately that have to do with rich families with dark history and secrets. The ending will take you by complete surprise and confusion and I'm still trying to figure it out!
