The Program by Suzanne Young (Program #1)
Release Date: April 30th, 2013 by Simon Pulse
S u m m a r y :
Sloane knows better than to cry in front of anyone.
With suicide now an international epidemic, one outburst could land her in The Program, the only proven course of treatment. Sloane’s parents have already lost one child; Sloane knows they’ll do anything to keep her alive. She also knows that everyone who’s been through The Program returns as a blank slate. Because their depression is gone—but so are their memories.
Under constant surveillance at home and at school, Sloane puts on a brave face and keeps her feelings buried as deep as she can. The only person Sloane can be herself with is James. He’s promised to keep them both safe and out of treatment, and Sloane knows their love is strong enough to withstand anything. But despite the promises they made to each other, it’s getting harder to hide the truth. They are both growing weaker. Depression is setting in.
And The Program is coming for them.

Reason for waiting:
I've probably mentioned this before, but I'm super picky with my dystopia. I seem to be really interested in the ones that deal with preventing or erasing emotions (like Delirium). This one sounds really interesting with the whole suicide prevention thing going and the part that their memories are gone with their depression? So what is it like a big huge empty spot in their lives? Kinda weird!
Wahhh, it's going to be awhile before this title is released!

DeleteI'm bummed this one isn't coming out until next year too, but it's definitely on my OMG I WANT THIS list. It's a very long list. But this sounds fantastic. I'm fascinated by the premise.

@Shooting Stars Mag I knowwww, next year feel sooo far away! The 2013 list on GoodReads is a bad place to be when you've already got a long long list of books you want lol!
