Cindy at Princess Bookie is hosting a series of mini challenges. If you're interested in joining, click the link here.

The first mini challenge is to list our top 5 Books of 2011

Like everyone else, I had a hard time with this challenge. There are so many books I'm looking forward to in 2011, but here are my top five!

The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa
I am a HUGE fan of this series and I'm so eager to know what happens next! A part of me is excited for the 3rd book but a part of me isn't ready to let these characters go just yet. We've just begun!

Across The Universe by Beth Revis
I read the first chapter of this book as a sampler from the publisher's website and OH.MY.GOODNESS! The first chapter left me wanting to know more! Such a gripping and intense introduction! And lately, I've been really into Dystopia novels.

Fins Are Forever by Tera Lynn Childs
I really enjoyed Forgive My Fins and the ending left us with a total cliff hanger. I'm not a fan of Doe, but I'm curious to see where this next book will take us!

Ripple by Mandy Hubbard
I've been really into Siren books lately and this one sounds really really interesting. And besides, doesn't the cover itself just make you curious??

Wither (Chemical Garden #1) by Lauren DeStefano
Another Dystopia book. It's always interested to see what rules the characters have to play by and how they cope with these rules. This one sounds intruiging. Males only live to age twenty-five and females live to only twenty?

I also read the sampler for this from the publishers website and it also had such a gripping introduction.

Another book I'd like to mention is...

Illusions by Aprilynne Pike
There isn't a cover for this yet so I was hesitant to include it (like things to match!) but I can't deny that I'm looking forward to the third book in the Wings series. I didn't really like Spells compared to Wings but I am curious to see where Tam goes from here and how he deals with Laurel's wishes.

  1. Great picks! I love the covers for Wither, Across the Universe, and Ripple. And I'm really interested in reading those as well. :)
