In my mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren!

Yay! Does anyone else look forward to this meme as much as I do? This passed Monday was my birthday! My lovely husband got me books for my birthday (which surprised me, he doesn't get me things that I can breeze by like makeup or clothes... but he knows I've gone back into my book reading addiction and I think he's secretly happy that it isn't makeup anymore lol) and my mother in law surprised me with a book too!

  • Nobody's Princess by Esther Friesner
  • Sickened by Julie Gregory
  • Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen by Serena Valentino
  • Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
  • Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volume 1

I'm pretty excited about these books! I've already started reading Sickened (and OMG her mother is crazy), it replaced Sweep: Strife as my "when I'm out book". Yes, I finally finished Strife! Thank goodness!

My mother in law surprised me with the Twilight graphic novel. My first graphic novel!

So what did you get in your mailbox?

  4. I've heard great things about Nobody's Princess. It sounds like an awesome greek mythology-historical-type book with a strong heroine :) And Shiver rocks! Hope you enjoy it.

  5. I love graphic novels! Persepolis is my favorite. I checked out Meyer's in the book store and it looked cool. I'll be looking forward to your thoughts on it!

  6. Shiver was a fantastic book. I haven't read the others (I did read Twilight but not as a GN) but the Esther Friesner series looks really interesting and Fairest of all sounds really good too. I hope you enjoy your books. Happy Belated Birthday!

  9. I got a bag that I bought from Etsy this week. I got my first birthday present but that was hand delivered by my Uncle on Monday.

I'm keeping my eye out for birthday mail lol.
