So while avoiding The Mindy Project for as long as I can so I can just binge watch the whole next season I've been looking for something else to watch. That wasn't the Kardashians. Not that I'm done with them. Just that... I needed a break. And well this looked interesting.

And now. I'm hooked.

Team Matty or Team Jake?

Personally I'm Team Jake. I'm not down with guys who say they love you can care about you and all this other stuff in private and in public don't want to be seen with you making you feel like you're not good enough or your embarrassing or whatever. I love that Jake isn't afraid of what people think of him or that he's a dork in public or that he's such a nice guy and it doesn't hurt that he's adorable. Like seriously seriously adorable. I would had LOVED to date someone like Jake in high school.

Besides Jake I think the second best character is Jenna's best friends T and Ming. Watching this show (which I am watching as I'm writing this entry...) makes me miss having girl bff's but I was never really great in that department and it never really worked out well and now that I'm older... this is starting to turn into a very personal blog post rather than a usual Media Monday blog post.

Let me just get done with Season 2 cause I can't seem to concetrate on anything else lol!

So. Are you Team Matty or Team Jake?

I have been obsessed with this song since I saw the video like, two weeks ago.

I think Ariana is simply beautiful!

I love her hair. I remember reading an article about her talking about how she always has it half up/half down because her hair is super damaged from dying it all the time for the TV show she's on so she can't do a lot with it anymore :\ but it always looks so flawless!

I love this video, masquerade masks? Romeo & Juliet themed? A cute Romeo? I mean, hello!

Plus it doesn't hurt that this song puts me in all kinds of good moods :)

What's a song that has you feeling good this week?

I've been feeling a little down lately, I guess it's the weather. It's been pretty cold for Central Florida and while I know that we're in the colder months, it's just been so gloomy! It's been really playing with my emotions! That's for sure!

So I thought I'd write a post about movies I watch when I'm down.

13 Going On 30

I'm so glad this is back on Netflix streaming! I love this movie. It's such a trippy concept isn't it? What would you do if you woke up and suddenly you were 30? Your whole life, you don't remember a thing! I would definitely be spooked! Jenna handled herself pretty well for someone who couldn't remember their life!  And seeing her and Matty come together... *swooon* cutest thing ever!

Return to Oz

Ah, the sequel that didn't get much love... it's okay, I love you! This isn't really a happy or feel good movie but it's a movie that I grew up watching. It's actually kinda creepy, the beginning part anyway. It's like Ozma just appears and vanishes randomly. The concept is spooky and seeing her mist in the mirror? Yeah, spooky. And okay the Wheelers were pretty darn creepy too. Mombi didn't bother me too much ironically. The lady likes a variety of heads, what of it? lol

Friends With Benefits

Was anyone else super impressed with JT's performance in this movie like I was? I am a sucker for Mila. Her eyes! They always get me! There's so much humor and both Dylan and Jamie make an ass out of themselves so many times. The sarcasm, the wit, the idea of not falling in love. Oh and it takes places in New York. Come on! But beyond the romance and the sarcasm I feel like it's also about learning to trust other people after you've been burned so many times and how to react to family when you're not in the most ideal situations.

Serendipity

Do I talk about this movie too much on this blog? I can't help it! Looking back on it, it's such a cheesy movie. Just shut up Jonathan, you're making yourself look like an ass! But it's a movie that will stay with me foreverrrrrrrrrrrr. The idea of meeting someone randomly and never seeing them again then going to look for them years later? I mean, it's pretty romantic don't you think? And I'm one of those people who just love looking for answers (not my best trait)!

What's your go to movie when you're feeling down?

This was a total unexpected post but I ended up procrastinating and usually when that happens, I'm watching a David So vlog.

I don't usually like posting a ton of profanity on this account but I have to share this only because it's become a weekly ritual. Any time I'm down or sad, I just watch David So vlogs because they crack me the fuck up!

Do you have a favorite go to vlogger you watch when you're down?

It's almost that time of the year again....!

And I'm kicking off prepping for the season by sharing one of my favorite holiday movies... Serendipity!

I rented this movie in 2001 in the Fall/Winter time after a really bad break up. Kept it (along with Bring it On) for a week and watched it literally every single night. I didn't get to finally visit a Serendipity until the weekend of my wedding in 2009 and finally got to have a Frozen Hot Chocolate.

This movie symbolizes a lot for me. It reminds me of Fall/Winter. It reminds me of Christmas. It reminds me that I'm stronger than I think I am and the journey I was going through when I'd drown myself every night in the story of Jon and Sarah.

Every time I'm upset or stressed out, my husband puts this on for me. He doesn't complain on the weeks I play it over and over and over again.

It's a bit of an older movie and it's kinda cheesy but it will always have a special place in my heart!

Someone on Facebook had posted this article about a bride and her groom re-enact the epic dancing scene from Dirty Dancing. I think I watched this movie when I was a kid, I don't really remember. But being a kid of the 80's if you saw the movie or not you know what dance scene everyone talks about!

I love this, the way he looks at her is amazing. And they look like they're having so much fun. I didn't have a big celebration at my wedding and I didn't even get a first dance which is kinda sad. As much as I like watching wedding videos and all of that, it also makes me sort of sad that I never got that. If that makes sense.

But anyway, the chemistry between these two is really somethin!

Okay so I'm one of those Cast Members who work at Disney World, listen to Disney songs on the way to and from work and I watch Wizards of Waverly Place when I get home. If iCarly isn't on. But I'm not one of those those Cast Members. I just really like Disney media. Even if the thing I'm escaping is work. At a Disney park. *cough*.

With that said, I've always kind of loved Selena Gomez. She's cute. She's funny. And now that she's older, I think she's pretty darn hot. I don't see why everyone hates her. Then again I think the people who hate her pretty much hate all Disney stars....

I recently discovered her new(ish) single Slow Down and I love this video!!! I love the shots of Paris, I love the outfits she's wearing, I love the lyrics to the song, I love how pop culture has adopted dub-step (I'm one of thoseeee people), I just love this video! And it's been a lonnnng time since I've actually loved a music video lol.

So this song has pretty much been on heavy repeat for the last week and a half!

What song has been on heavy repeat on your playlist?

I've always been a huge fan of Glee; since it started in 2009. I remember my fiance was away at Basic Training for the AirForce and my sister in law was always at my place helping me piece together my wedding. We'd watch Glee while eating ice cream cake. We settled on our characters --- she called Puck and I called Finn.

Around the time that Cory passed away, I was catching up on Glee. Then I stopped, because I couldn't deal. I haven't fully caught up yet, I'm still halfway through season 2 but I will be skipping over to this episode after it's posted on Hulu+ curled up in bed with a candle lit. I already know I'll be a sobbing mess.

I never understood how people could be sad that a celebrity they never met passed away. I never knew what that was like until Cory passed away.

And though I never met him and I never knew him, he was always a celebrity I admired. He seemed so humble and thankful for his fans. He seemed like a normal person who was sometimes put on the spotlight. And he had that really simple smile. It must be amazing to had known him in person. But even as Finn, it was always a pleasure to watch him.

So when Hypable posted six songs they'll be doing for the Cory/Finn memorial episode, my heart hurt. And I'm experiencing a sadness I've never really felt before. I'm so sorry for his loss and I will definitely be buying the album when it comes out since proceeds go to support Cory's favorite non profit organization.

If you'd like to view the six song preview Hypable posted, it can be found here.

Will you be tuning in to this episode? Who's your favorite Glee character?

So who missed the VMA's last night? I hope I wasn't the only one! The cable isn't configured in my new place yet so, that sucks. I did search like crazy for the *NSYNC reuion and found it. All of it's one minute and thirty freakin seconds. What the heck? The most talked about moment on the VMA's and that's it?! I read an article about how "*NSYNC's brief come back is tearin' up fans hearts" and I honestly could not had put it in better words.

So here it is!

As any other hardcore *NSYNC fan (I grew up in love with them and 98* in middle/high school), I was screaming "OMGOMGOMG" the whole performance and when it was over I felt like it left a lot of be desired.

However, I'm not here to discuss pop culture or music on this blog but I mean, I'm just sayin'. One can only hope that this is the beginning of something we're all hoping will happen.

But in reality, this is not the generation of boy bands anymore. Sadly.

I've been a big Dante Basco fan since Hook and while I love Rufio, I'm also very supportive of his career because he's Filipino American. Also The Debut? That's my shit lol. I follow him on WordPress, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube... you get the point.

So I'm scrolling through my WordPress feeds and I see this video. Intriguing still right? What the heck is the Rufio Show and... is that Rufio? Wait, is Rufio... vlogging? WHOA WHAT?

Seriously, click it. It's hilarious  I wonder if this was just a one time thing or if he's going to make a feature out of it. Cause that would be cool.

Thought this was pretty funny so I wanted to share it with all of you (:

It's probably no secret that I'm a total fan girl for Sarah Rees Brennan's new series The Lynburn Legacy which starts off with Unspoken. In conjunction with the release of Unspoken, Sarah released two novella's. One from Kami's point of view and one from Jared's. If there's anything out there in the world that lets me into the heads of these two characters, I'm all for it!

“Take care of your spirit, Kami,” said Megumi. “And don’t burn the place down.”

Kami grabbed both the suitcases and headed for the cabin she was sharing with Liz and Angela. Liz walked with her, and on their way Kami stopped.

“My Sobo was exaggerating,” she said earnestly. “There have been very few fires.”

This story introduces us to one of the main characters of Unspoken, Jared Lynburn. Seeing him as the broken, dangerous, closed-off teenager that he appears to be from the outside allows us to anticipate all of the insight we'll have into his character when we get inside his head--which we will, since he's the heroine's "imaginary friend."

I haven't found time to read these yet but I will, soon!

Have you read Unspoken yet? Have you read either of these novella's?

Did anyone else watch Hugga Bunch as a kid?

I recently found my favorite clip of the movie (besides the part where she steps through the mirror)on YouTube. I haven't seen this in years! I wish they'd remake it and put on DVD.

My favorite part is when The Evil Queen eats the Young Berries, I always thought they looked so good!

Hubby didn't share my excitement last night while I was watching this. He kept saying the Hugga Bunch people were creepy lol.

I know this post is coming a little late today, I had to catch up on some Math homework. But now that that is all taken care of (does anyone else get bothered when they write "that" twice in a sentence?) I wanted to do a post on the new trailer that was released at Comic-Con this weekend for Oz The Great and Powerful!

I'm sure it's no secret that I love anything Wizard of Oz so imagine how much I was jumping up and down when I saw this trailer! It's beauuuuutiful!!

Because its got a Tim Burton feel to it people are complaining that it's too "Alice in Wonderland" but it's going to be in 3D, so I'm sure there's a bit of a reason for that. Besides, what did you expect Oz to look like?! Other people are saying that the new Wicked movie is going to be a better prequel since this "never happened" but I think people forget that Wicked never happened either.

Anyway, I'm pretty darn excited for this!!

Anyone else going to see this? Anyone else sad they didn't get to attend Comic-Con either?

I haven't done a Media Monday post in awhile... honestly I don't really remember what I did do for them lol. So we'll just go with whatever I decide, yes? Yes.

So M and I have been catching up on a few shows (thanks to my sister in law who's letting use her Hulu+ account while she's in basic training lol) and New Girl is one of them. I was buying a few episodes on my Kindle Fire before that started to add up so I considered getting Hulu+ because they have New Girl and Once Upon a Time but then my sister in law passed her account over and there you go.

I first discovered Zooey Deschanel on Tin Man, a Wizard of Oz re-telling mini series (which I need to finish) and I was drawn to her eyes. I love Zooey's silly sense of humor and how free spirited she is so when I heard she was coming out with her own TV show, uh, I'm so there!

So in case you don't know, New Girl is about Jess Day who moves in with three guys -- Nick, Schmidt and Winston. She also has a best friend named CeCe and she works as a teacher. She doesn't really seem to have any sort of grip in her life since her breakup with her boyfriend, who seemed like a douche any way.

I love this show. I love the situations, I love the humor, I love how CeCe always has a this bitch look on her face whenever Schmidt talks and I love scenes with Nick and Schmidt the most. Schmidt is a bit OCD and since I'm OCD, I relate to him a lot. Like I seriously want to high five the TV sometimes lol. Nick is just so awkward! It's adorable, in a really weird way. And he always makes these intense frowny faces haha.

I'm really sad that I'm nearing the end of Season One and I'm trying to figure out what to watch instead of finishing the series. I was thinking either Downtown Abby or The Secret Circle. I'm not ready for Season One of New Girl to end! They totally need to get Season Two up there lol.

Do you watch New Girl? Who's your favorite character?

One of my recent obsessions is Spotify (I wasn't sure if this would go under Media Monday or Friday Finds...)

I don't know why my screenshot's always end up so tiny... but if you've living under a rock (like I have), you might not know what Spotify is.

Basically, Spotify is a music player. It has the interface of iTunes but it works like imeem, if any of you remember that site. You basically find tracks and make play lists for them. It's pretty fun, but it might just be because I like being organized like that. The only disappointment I have with this is that not all tracks I like are on the database. I'm sure as time goes on they will add more since I assume Spotify is fairly new.

Another cool thing about it is that you can sync it to your Facebook (like everything else in this world...) and share your recently played songs with your friends page. You can't however stream it on your phone if you don't pay for a special type of membership. You get a 14 day free trail though and while it is pretty cool to take your play lists with you, the streaming quality could be better. Most songs do smoothly play but other songs tend to skip.

I really like the idea of this, I just hope that they're still working on adding more old school tracks too! :)

I don't have a review today, I haven't been running into much media lately but I have been replaying this particular song lately...

It reminds me or the AOL days. I spent a lot of time on AOL in high school, I still think the concept was pretty cool. You had everything you needed -- web browser, email, chat rooms, instant messaging... and I spent a lot of times in chat rooms. I made some really cool friends (that I'm honestly still really close friends with today) and had some really good times.

Winter and the holidays are around the corner and that's when I feel the biggest urges to play music like this (that were on my playlist in 2001 with Winamp, holla!) to remind me of all the cold nights I spent on AOL wrapped in my fleece blanket IM'ing and laughing the night away with my friends.

Do any of you have music that brings you back to times like that? What are they? :)

Media Monday is a new weekly feature I'm trying out. It use to be called Monday Movie Review but I found that I would like to review other things like TV shows and from time to time video games (even though has almost nothing to do with books, but I really want to share this week's with you)!

Castle Crashers is a cute little video game available for Xbox360 and through the Playstation Network. My husband is always on the look out for cute video games like this that he think I might like so we'll have a game to play together.

He totally won with this one!

You start off at a level that isn't too hard and complicated. Some of the boss fights can be a little tricky like the ice man since you're sliding all over the place because the palace is made of ice or the final boss because he just doesn't die but other than that, it's a pretty easy game that shouldn't take too much effort. It also features real time battles which I really like. I'm not a fan of the Final Fantasy type battles where you don't actually see if you your opponent or not.

Through every stage, you find pets that assist you in something. My favorite is the giraffe because he helps boost my experience. Another one I like is my husband's eagle who helps you find food. There are plenty of different pets to find that help you do plenty of different things.

There are also a lot of different characters to unlock, it's always fun to see which one you unlocked and to see what their power is. Mine is the blue one and he deals with ice mostly. My husband is currently using one that looks like an opponent who has the power to throw buzz saws.

If you're looking for a mini game to play, I would suggest Castle Crashers. I have to warn you, it can get a bit addicting :)
