<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>[ Sophie hanging out in her new Gingerbread House + lights ]</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>Happy Holiiiiidays~!</i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's December! I started my previous entry like this! Wow my memory blows! Anyway, I normally have some sort of weird theme in December. In 2010 I read <i>The Hunger Games</i> along with a bunch of other dystopia. I think in 2011 I read <i>Anna and the French Kiss</i>. It's always something random! I'm trying (key word <b>trying</b>) to stay within the spirit of Christmas this year. Sorta.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i> </i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i>→ </i>Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan (re-read, tradition)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
→ The Nutcracker and the Mouse King</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
→ Winter's Kiss by Catherine Hapka</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
→ The Curious Tale of the In-Between by Lauren DeStefano</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
→ Breadcrumbs by Anne Ursu (re-read)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
→ I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella (re-read)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
→ The Rosemary Spell by Virigina Zimmerman</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
→ A Christmas Gift by Stella Wilkinson</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
→ Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses by Jenny Hale</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
→ The Magician's Nephew: The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
→ Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling (audio)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
REALISTICALLY I know I'm not going to get through ALL of these books. Or hell, even ONE of them. But I figure I'd give it a shot anyway. Trying is better than you know... not.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A few are re-reads and a few are books I've had on my TBR wish list (does anyone else do that?!) for awhile now so I figure why not. December only comes once a year!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Is there a book you re-read every holiday season? Or is there one you're hoping to cross off your TBR?</div>
</blockquote>

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Whoooo it's December!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Anyone else wonder why they call it the <b>happiest time of the year</b> when it's probably accurately more like <b>the most stressful time of the year</b>?!</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This year I'm spending the holidays with Nick and his family. His tradition? <b>A real Christmas tree</b>. Which is currently sitting pretty with its app controlled blinking lights behind me. That's causing me a crap ton of allergies. And the house doesn't even have a ridiculously overbearing scent of pine. I feel lied to. Also it requires to be watered. And it leaks sap. But it doesn't shed like my mom always told me it would! It's pretty cool. Totally different. But pretty cool (see Nick setting it up above).</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhw19c8Mnw5WLyXV-YR7XHOScydLgT2goSc6E9dv9UVMvrRoxYutDXD90gK-89bn0BDpyEG7e8IK6KCH5bWJiNiOcWqHm86V3AA78SBmL4KWKYNtSPrXB4AGQRXT4sEj94HPWBLPnU_5U0/s1600/IMG_5590.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhw19c8Mnw5WLyXV-YR7XHOScydLgT2goSc6E9dv9UVMvrRoxYutDXD90gK-89bn0BDpyEG7e8IK6KCH5bWJiNiOcWqHm86V3AA78SBmL4KWKYNtSPrXB4AGQRXT4sEj94HPWBLPnU_5U0/s640/IMG_5590.PNG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i> </i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To get in a more festive mood, I dyed my hair a color I've <i>never</i> tried before... Teal. Well it's more Turquoise but I love how it turned out! Besides, I needed a change. Also, I got that dress off Amazon for like $15. I'm in love with it!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG3bw_N_dRhPYcGE4t5B145_WCglRAdVkb2QvHnyBSE6NtlSFyWUPvp_ggmFQcfbenTQ5CzbvVuX_c2mPMr6R9INjA6KxyEGzzrcuW4pR_TZatNtzRU7ulel1uP6qDrn9ZenA5-GXi-Qk/s1600/IMG_5788.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG3bw_N_dRhPYcGE4t5B145_WCglRAdVkb2QvHnyBSE6NtlSFyWUPvp_ggmFQcfbenTQ5CzbvVuX_c2mPMr6R9INjA6KxyEGzzrcuW4pR_TZatNtzRU7ulel1uP6qDrn9ZenA5-GXi-Qk/s640/IMG_5788.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Got my gifts from my Secret Santa too~! I'm so excited to open them! But I'm waiting until Christmas. Like I do every year. I also mailed out my SS gift yesterday! Wish I had taken a picture of it. I put a lottttttt of effort into it. Also, Nick did a good job with picking the packaging box. So cute that he helped me every step of the way and he got really into it too.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So SS, my boyfriend picked out all the quirky chocolates for you and the pretty box it's coming in!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmEEDG47OC_ITQhYLSgW4-fry-l4FxgmFIlfnPKMI4I5zK_E-9qGd_P2XfKnmegMxLqWrF5ULFWKJ8XgBIJvEqRVHr1Sg1yoiGRGp_rSx6vJmG87Z9DDMoc_9G9BokxlkCrIdR38Uksww/s1600/IMG_5391.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmEEDG47OC_ITQhYLSgW4-fry-l4FxgmFIlfnPKMI4I5zK_E-9qGd_P2XfKnmegMxLqWrF5ULFWKJ8XgBIJvEqRVHr1Sg1yoiGRGp_rSx6vJmG87Z9DDMoc_9G9BokxlkCrIdR38Uksww/s640/IMG_5391.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Also I think it's worth it to mention that after TWELVE YEARS I finally got my white Christmas tree with its pastel glitter ornaments. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But then Sophie stole it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's okay, we'll share.</div>

<center style="text-align: justify;">
Hey guys! I know, it's been <i>super</i> long since I've dropped by. But I am working on making a post on that soon! </center>
<center style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: justify;">
Today I'm posting my video review of <i>The Walls Around Us</i> by Nova Ren Suma. I haven't read any of her other books but if they're anything like this, I will definitely be starting to!</center>

<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: justify;">
The one thing I liked the most about this read was the time frames. How it was told by one person in present tense and another in past tense who was living in the present. If that makes sense. And when the two time frames mashed together it was really interesting to see where the author was going to go with it. It has a bit of a spook factor to it but it was definitely a page turner for me.</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
Also, can we just admire this cover for a moment?</center>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span class="elementTwo" id="freeText4366708403729574473">From the <i>New York Times</i> bestselling author of <i>Halo</i> comes the start of a beautiful and powerful new series.<br /><br />After
the loss of her mother, Chloe Kennedy starts seeing the ghosts that

country estate in the south of England is her chance to get away from
her grief and the spirits that haunt her. Until she meets a mysterious
stranger…<br /><br />Alexander Reade is 157 years dead, with secrets darker
than the lake surrounding Grange Hall and a lifelike presence that draws
Chloe more strongly than any ghost before. But the bond between them
awakens the vengeful spirit of Alexander's past love, Isobel. And she
will stop at nothing to destroy anyone who threatens to take him from
her.<br /><br />To stop Isobel, Chloe must push her developing abilities to

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Not going to lie, I was drawn into the cover before anything else happened. I love how it's misty behind him and he's surrounded by trees. Something about it is just... eye catching. Makes you incredibly curious.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Chloe seems to have a problem, she can see ghosts. I know people in real life who have this problem as well and handle it a bit differently than Chloe. Her mother taught her to tell them to go away, so they did. But when she's forced on a <i>holiday</i> to England to give her father some space to recover it seems like the ghosts are coming from everywhere and of course there's Alex. I don't know what to make of him, he seems like he doesn't know what to make of himself actually. It's okay Alex, the readers feel just as twisted and confused as you do. It just seemed like at times Alex was a bit careless and withholding on certain information that Chloe could had found useful had he told her <i>earlier</i>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Joe on the other hand, I really really liked. He seemed like such a great guy and even after the... situation. The guy took everything with stride and wasn't ashamed to protect or stand up or make sure Chloe was okay. It was like it was something he just <i>wanted</i> to do. And not to reflect on my own failure of a love life here but I found him to be very sweet and easy to like. If only Chloe weren't so dense. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There was a pretty hefty fear factor in these pages but instead of scaring me they kept me turning the pages. I've noticed this is like the 3rd book I've read recently that has to do with creepy things, mansions and England. Is there something I should avoid when I travel over there? IS THERE SOMETHING I SHOULD KNOW?! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Overall I kind of thought the fear factor element was a little hard to understand. Throw Alex in there too. But the ending. The ending had me saying, "no no no no." as soon as I realized it was the last page.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
YOU CAN NOT END A BOOK LIKE THAT AND EXPECT NO ONE TO FREAK OUT!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Seriously. I need to know what is happening. Like, yesterday. Ugh.</div>
<br />
<br />

<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
"How do you know that for sure?" I asked, out of genuine curiosity and partly because I wanted to avoid having to respond.<br />
"What do you think love really feels like?"<br />
"I don't think love is just a feeling," Joe said. "I think it's a commitment. Lust is a feeling, that that's what hits you first. But you have to wait until it passes. Once it's gone, what are you left with? That's the real stuff, underneath." He looked to the ceiling. "When I get married one day, I want to be so committed to my wife that no matter what happens I'll never leave her. We might fight, she might cheat, we might sleep in separate rooms for a whole year. I but I won't walk away. So when I tell a girl I love her, I'm going to really mean it."</blockquote>

So while avoiding <i>The Mindy Project</i> for as long as I can so I can just binge watch the whole next season I've been looking for something else to watch. That wasn't the Kardashians. Not that I'm done with them. Just that... I needed a break. And well this looked interesting.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Team Matty or Team Jake?</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Personally I'm Team Jake. I'm not down with guys who say they love you can care about you and all this other stuff in private and in public don't want to be seen with you making you feel like you're not good enough or your embarrassing or whatever. I love that Jake isn't afraid of what people think of him or that he's a dork in public or that he's such a nice guy and it doesn't hurt that he's adorable. Like seriously seriously adorable. I would had LOVED to date someone like Jake in high school. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Besides Jake I think the second best character is Jenna's best friends T and Ming. Watching this show (which I am watching as I'm writing this entry...) makes me miss having girl bff's but I was never really great in that department and it never really worked out well and now that I'm older... this is starting to turn into a very personal blog post rather than a usual <i>Media Monday</i> blog post.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Let me just get done with Season 2 cause I can't seem to concetrate on anything else lol!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, from the 26 books (so unrealistic but whatever lol) I had planned on reading for my Halloween Challenge this year I ended up reading 7. Wait what? I swear there was more than that! 2 that aren't part of that 7 I marked as DNF. But like I said, there are some titles I'm still looking forward to reading so I'll continue on for awhile longer into November. Though now I don't feel so bad for reading something other than ghost stories lol!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
From one challenge to another...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is my 4th year doing NaNoWriMo and I have yet to <i>win</i>. I'll be updating my word count <a href="http://nanowrimo.org/participants/blissfulfantasy" target="_blank">here</a> and probably <a href="http://nanowrimo.org/participants/marie-vera" target="_blank">here</a> too.I'm hoping to at least get to 30k words this year. Maybe 25. No, 30. Let's go with 30. Even though I have <i>nothing</i> once again planned out for this year! I'm still debating on if I should finish an older project or start a new one. All I know is that I <i>need</i> to write. My summer was full of hurt, changes and betrayal and I need to pour those emotions into something else and be rid of them. I have these characters but I don't know what to do with them or where to put them or what is going to happen to them.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So here we go, another NaNoWriMo ahead and another Halloween Challenge behind!</div>

This month is just <i>flying </i>by so quickly! Not to mention all the other things going on in my personal life. That doesn't leave very much time for completing my challenge as I had hoped. But like they say, you gotta <i>make</i> time!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
So I'm making some pretty good progress with my Halloween Challenge, at least I'd like to think so! Haha. Of all the books I've read so far I think Suspicion was my favorite even if the ending was super freakin iffy and sort of made no sense at all. I actually finished <i>The Vines</i> this morning and while it was interesting in terms of the history I wasn't too impressed with the characters.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've been meaning to read <i>Between The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea</i> for awhile now and I keep putting it off so I figured now or never, basically. There are still a few books I was hoping to finish before October ends but I'm not sure how that's going to work out since it's already the 27th, I may continue on into next month... if I can find time between homework, work and NaNoWriMo. NaNoWriMo being the more demanding of them all lol!</div>

Okay, I know the blurb sounds super dang interesting which is why I requested it and it started off pretty well but then it got kind of weird. Then it got confusing. Then it got even more confusing and even more weird to the point where I didn't even know what the heck was going on anymore.<br />
<br />
I think I would had enjoyed this read it it was a little easier to understand since you weren't really aware of whos point of view you were in and who was who and all of these other angels are caught in the mix too. I don't know, it just got really confusing.<br />
<br />

<b>Summary</b>:<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span class="elementTwo" id="freeText14735757912371456046">The
dark history of Spring House, a beautifully restored plantation mansion
on the outskirts of New Orleans, has long been forgotten. But something
sinister lurks beneath the soil of the old estate.<br /><br />After heiress
and current owner Caitlin Chaisson is witness to her husband's stunning
betrayal at her birthday party, she tries to take her own life in the
mansion's cherished gazebo. Instead, the blood she spills awakens dark
forces in the ground below. Chaos ensues and by morning her husband has
vanished without a trace and his mistress has gone mad.<br /><br />Nova,
daughter to Spring House's groundskeeper, has always suspected that
something malevolent haunts the old place, and in the aftermath of the
birthday party she enlists Caitlin's estranged best friend, Blake, to
help her get to the bottom of it. The pair soon realizes that the
vengeance enacted by this sinister and otherworldly force comes at a
terrible price.</span><b> </b></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'll admit, I was a bit scared going into this one. Only because... I mean, come on! His mother is <i>Anne Rice</i>! I was seriously preparing myself for the worst!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But the worst never really came. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This follows Caitlin who has just inherited a mansion and caught her husband cheating on her. In the bathroom upstairs. Did I mention it was her birthday? I mean, we don't know much about her husband or the tramp he's with at this point just that dude is doing some major no-no crap right now. Come on man, it's your wife's birthday. You gotta be kidding me! Not knowing what else to do (though I don't really remember why she didn't just bust in there and shank a beezy) she attempts to end her life out in the garden. Only problem is, the garden doesn't want her to die. But it does want her blood. Next thing we know, lover boy and skank girl are sneaking out into the shed. Guess the bathroom wasn't big enough (that's what she said)? And I suppose we can assume the garden can read minds of those who just had their blood licked cleaned because the vines wasted no time eliminating her husband replacing him with a very peculiar looking flower. And whore bag? Well she went bat sh*t stumbling out of the shed.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The rest of the story pretty much follows not just Catlin but the vines and their victims. It also follows Blake, Caitlin's use-to-be-BFF before they had a really bad falling out and Nova, the housekeepers daughter. Nova knows something is up, she's always suspected something <i>off</i> about the property but no one wanted to listen to her. No one until now. Blake and Nova team up trying to uncover the secrets of the mansion and what it is the garden actually <i>wants</i> and how far it will go to get what it wants.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
While this read didn't scare me or creep me up and it provided a lot of information about slavery, fiction or not, I admit I really really enjoyed this read. I don't usually stick to adult fiction but this one was a pretty good read for a night in October.</div>

<span class="elementTwo" id="freeText4119177638862555188">A
romantic, historical retelling of classic Gothic horror featuring Edgar

murders in which he might be implicated. She is torn romantically

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<i>Of Monsters and Madness </i>wasn't a book I was expecting to pick up but I'm a bit glad I did. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I'll admit now, I know nothing about Edger Allen Poe except what <i>The Simpsons</i> have covered. I'm not too into poetry and definitely not into dark poetry. So I'm unfamiliar with Annabel Lee.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<i>Of Monsters and Madness</i> took me by surprise. Maybe because I didn't really know what I was getting into or what to expect. Annabel has just lost her mother and her father has called for her and her mothers to come live with him in Philadelphia. But Annabel arrives alone meeting a young lady who becomes one of my favorite characters and is her maid and a man named Allan. As she arrives to the house it becomes clear that her father did not call for her but rather her grandfather who is a very loving and comforting person. Her father however is very standoff-ish, angry, self absorbed and dismissive. As if getting use to her "place" in this new world (where she isn't allowed to do anything as she has a maid and isn't allowed to practice medicine as her father doesn't believe women should) wasn't enough, she doesn't understand who Edger is, who Allen was, why all of these strange things keep happening and trying to gain acceptance from her mysterious father. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Annabel happens to run into Allen the majority of the time she's there and tending to the cooks and house aids when they need healing though she shouldn't be. And also venturing into the market with her maid. But nothing anyone is telling her is making sense and no one will explain exactly who Edger is. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<i>Of Monsters and Madness</i> was one whirl of a ride. The mystery behind the strange things happening and trying to figure these two boys out as well as what the heck was wrong with her father kept me turning the pages. I felt for Annabel and he struggle into fitting into her new life that she didn't really understand and her fear when realizing what was really going on. There was a bit of a creep factor to it but nothing that will keep you up at night, more like something that will make you wonder <i>how in the world....?</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I'm not one for suspense novels such as these and the ones I'll be reviewing this month but I think I'm warming up to them.<i> </i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<b>Summary</b>:<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span class="elementTwo" id="freeText8895609877774276822">Mysterious. Magnificent. Creepy. Welcome to Rockford Manor.<br /><br />"There's
something hidden in the Maze." Seventeen-year-old Imogen has never
forgotten the last words her father said to her seven years ago, before
the blazing fire that consumed him, her mother, and the gardens of her
family's English country manor.<br /><br />Haunted by her parents' deaths,
Imogen moves to New York City with her new guardians. But when a letter
arrives with the news of her cousin's untimely death, revealing that
Imogen is now the only heir left to run the estate, she returns to
England and warily accepts her role as duchess.<br /><br />All is not as it
seems at Rockford, and Imogen quickly learns that dark secrets lurk
behind the mansion's aristocratic exterior, hinting that the spate of
deaths in her family were no accident. And at the center of the mystery
is Imogen herself--and Sebastian, the childhood friend she has secretly
loved for years. Just what has Imogen walked into?<br /><br />Combining a
fresh twist on the classic REBECCA with a spine-tingling mystery and
powerful romance, SUSPICION is an action-packed thrill ride.</span><b> </b></div>

<br />
<i>Suspicion </i>is a title I was most looking forward to and couldn't believe I actually got approved for! Can we just take a moment to admire that mysterious cover? Cause seriously, it's pretty amazing.<br /><br />Imogen's life was pretty great as a kid. She took vacations to her wealthy family's home in England. Played with her cousin and their neighbor Sebastian and were just regular high class kids who didn't have a care in the world. Until one night everything in Imogen's life was suddenly gone. She was being shipped off to New York to live with family friends and that's where she would stay. Away from England, away from the memories, away from her family.<br /><br /> Until one day she gets mail from family in England and her adoptive family is suddenly acting strange, hiding things from her. Determined to know what's going on she finds a contact to her only remaining family to learn that her dear cousin has passed and now the house of memories belongs to her. <br /><br /> Imogen is placed in a tough spot; stay in New York or face her past and take her rightful place?<br /><br /> Imogen's decides to return to England and things start to get a little weird. First there's a fire set in her bedroom trashcan and other things that don't make sense. Like Sebastian. And what happened to her cousin, what was going on between them while she was gone? <br /><br /> I liked Imogen, she was easy to relate to and you would find yourself rooting for her to get to the bottom of all of these secrets both in New York and in England. You understood her frustration with Sebastian and not knowing what's really going on. I also really liked Sebastian's younger brother as well as Imogen's good friend and butler who always had her best interest in mind.<br /><br /> <i>Suspicion </i>takes you on an incredible journey through mystery, betrayal, finding forgiveness for others and yourself. I seem to be enjoying a lot of novels lately that have to do with rich families with dark history and secrets. The ending will take you by complete surprise and confusion and I'm still trying to figure it out! Now the list for this year is.... really long. I don't expect to read ALL of these titles (though that would be pretty nice wouldn't it?) especially because some of them just straight up scare me... but we'll see how this goes..... <i>it can't be that bad</i>!</div>

<b>Summary</b>:<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span class="elementTwo" id="freeText310270606516884591">When
Cate Benson was a kid, her sister, Violet, died. Two hours after the
funeral, Cate’s family picked up Violet’s replacement. Like nothing had
happened. Because Cate’s parents are among those who decided to give
their children a sort of immortality—by cloning them at birth—which
means this new Violet has the same smile. The same perfect face. Thanks
to advancements in mind-uploading technology, she even has all of the
same memories as the girl she replaced.<br /><br />She also might have murdered the most popular girl in school.<br /><br />At
least, that’s what the paparazzi and the anti-cloning protestors want
everyone to think: that clones are violent, unpredictable monsters. Cate
is used to hearing all that. She’s used to defending her sister, too.
But Violet has vanished, and when Cate sets out to find her, she ends up
in the line of fire instead. Because Cate is getting dangerously close
to secrets that will rock the foundation of everything she thought was
true.<br /><br />In a thrilling debut, Stefanie Gaither takes readers on a
nail-biting ride through a future that looks frighteningly similar to
our own time and asks: how far are you willing to go to keep your family
together?</span><b> </b></div>

<i><span class="elementTwo" id="freeText310270606516884591">When
Cate Benson was a kid, her sister, Violet, died. Two hours after the
funeral, Cate’s family picked up Violet’s replacement. Like nothing had
happened.</span><b> </b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With a blurb starting like that how can you NOT want to know what this is about?! Cate's sister had died, Cate's sister who was her best friend and now with no time to even mourn, her parents are on their way to pick up the <i>new</i> Violet who's suppose to be exactly like the one that they lost. Let's think for a moment that somewhere in a lab is an exact replica of you floating around. Growing, downloading your <i>thoughts</i> and your <i>memories</i>, "someone" whos only job is to <i>replace you</i> when you're gone to give your loved ones the satisfaction of thinking <i>you're</i> still here when <b>you're not</b>. Despite all things, I would still feel replaced a little offended if my parents were picking up my replacement not even 24 hours after I was buried.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Of course Cate had to get use to this new Violet because how exactly do you react to someone who's suppose to be your sister but isn't? Also this Violet, while she had the memories downloaded did not have the same intentions as the first Violet. And in the middle of it all, Violet has just disappeared and the media is keeping a close eye on her as well as the rest of her family to find out where she went (so close in fact that they're parked on her front lawn. Yeah.). </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Then the guy who she thought never noticed her is suddenly noticing her and offering her a ride home. Into basically a trap. Good job Jaxon. You have a cool name by the way. So Cate learns a bit of the truth that her family has hidden from her and now has a choice to make.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With the help of Jaxon and Seth (who isn't really into the idea but he's funny as hell so thank goodness someone with a brain went along with this ridiculous plan) they track down Violet in order to find out what <i>really</i> happened to the popular girl at school who was Violet's best friend.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There's a lot of action that goes on and a lot of secrets revealed. A LOT. There were moments where you'd have to choose one path or another and choosing the right path no matter how right doesn't make it less painful especially when it involves someone you love. I loved the relationship between Cate and Violet and I loved that Violet wasn't some perfect clone. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Falls The Shadow</i> wasn't what I was expecting but it was still one hell of a ride!</div>

<b>Summary</b>:<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span class="elementTwo" id="freeText5753297491054880722">Annabelle
Manning feels like she’s doing time at her high school in Chilton,
Virginia. She has her friends at her lunchtime table of nobodies. What
she doesn’t have are possibilities. Or a date for Homecoming. Things get
more interesting at night, when she spends time with the boy of her
dreams. But the blue-eyed boy with the fairytale smile is just that—a
dream. Until the Friday afternoon he walks into her chemistry class. <br /><br />One
of friends suspects he’s an alien. Another is pretty sure it’s all one
big case of deja vu. While Annabelle doesn’t know what to think, she’s
willing to believe that the charming Martin Zirkle may just be her dream
come true. But as Annabelle discovers the truth behind dreams—where
they come from and what they mean—she is forced to face a dark reality
she had not expected. More than just Martin has arrived in Chilton. As
Annabelle learns, if dreams can come true, so can nightmares.</span><b> </b></div>

<b> </b><i><b> </b></i><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Dream Boy</i> was a title I was looking forward to; it sounded a little bit like my all time favorite book <i>Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan</i>. However <i>Dream Boy</i> didn't really satisfy my expectations.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We're introduced to Josh while him and Annabelle are just hanging out in one of her dreams. No big deal. I'm not able to do lucid dreaming but apparently Annabelle is. Interesting. We get glimpses of Annabelle's life at school, at home... but the main focus is when she's dreaming because that's where she wants to be, constantly dreaming and constantly being with Josh.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Until one day Josh walks into her classroom. Except his name isn't Josh, it's Martin.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And things start to get a little weird.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Dream Boy</i> has a plot that will grip you. It takes a bit of time to get into it but once you do it makes it hard to put down. Apparently people that Annabelle thought were people, weren't. They were being dreamt up and coming to life. Upon realizing this they also realize that a nightmare could very well be the next thing introduced to their reality and so, they find a way to put an end to this before it's too late.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I was personally rooting for Will and Annabelle the whole time. Martin just seemed... I don't know, like he's <i>too</i> perfect for her where as Will seemed more like a real person. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There isn't much else I can say without spoiling the book but if you're looking for something that isn't <i>too</i> paranormal and has a pretty epic twist, I would highly suggest <i>Dream Boy</i>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Also, can we just admire this cover for a minute? Seriously. It's eye catching. </div>

<b> </b><i><b> </b></i><br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
#16ThingsIThoughtWereTrue was <i>nothing</i> like I thought it would be. I'm starting to think Janet puts us with these super fun optimistic people only to shut us down in the end!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Morgan was raised by her single mother and her two older brothers. She gets a job at a local theme park but she's not really friends with anyone because her best friend posted an online video of her dancing in her underwear and I guess she lives in a town where people really care about that kind of stuff. Must be rough. Until one day she's eating lunch in the bathroom by herself and she runs into Amy from there, things kinda just... happen. Morgan's mother thinks she's dying after getting sick and being placed in the hospital for awhile and Morgan realizes that her day --- who she thought abandoned her --- isn't all that far away. So with her new best friend Amy and Adam who just won't go away, the three of them embark on an unexpected journey to find Morgan's dad. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Morgan was a character that was easy enough to relate to. Her mom hid some pretty serious stuff from here and while she had every right to be upset and not want to <i>even</i> with her mom, I think she overreacted a bit. Considering she's a teenager and she's going on this epic journey with two people who are brand new to her life... I mean if I was her parent I'd be like "HELL TO THE NO." There were times when Morgan just really really annoyed me. She was kinda flip floppy on what to do after meeting her dad and she kinda just seemed... all over the place. Which I guess is realistic for someone her age to discover all this stuff.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Amy was my favorite character. I loved her spirit and her optimism! But like I said, the author likes to shut us down in the end. And that's all I'm saying! I don't have much of an opinion on Adam, while he was there the whole trip I feel like Amy sometimes overshadowed him because I really don't remember much when it comes to Adam.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Overall while this was a pretty heavy read it was also fun and adventurous because of the road trip. I don't normally read road trip type of books... they kinda just don't really seem like my thing but I really enjoyed this one! Also, I really dug how a good portion of this book mentioned Twitter. It's always fun when modern technology is included in books. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Is anyone else like that? Like you think books are just stuck in this nonexistent time frame before technology sometimes?</div>

<b>Summary </b><i><b> </b></i><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText16205629567916019903">After returning to
Kansas, Dorothy Gale has realized that the dreary fields of Kansas don’t
compare to the vibrant landscapes of Oz. And although she’s happy to be
reunited with Aunt Em, she misses her friends from the yellow brick
road. But most of all, Dorothy misses the fame and the adventure. In
Kansas she’s just another prairie girl, but in Oz she was a hero. So
Dorothy is willing to do anything to get back, because there really is
no place like Oz. But returning to the land she left comes at a price,
and after Dorothy is through with it, Oz will never be the same.<br /><br />Perfect
for fans of Alex Flinn, Marissa Meyer, and Gregory Maguire, No Place
Like Oz is a dark reimagining of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank
Baum. Building off of its rich mythology, Danielle Paige creates an
edgy, thrilling story for teens that chronicles the rise and fall of one
of the literature’s most beloved characters. This digital original
novella is a prequel that sets the stage for the forthcoming novel
Dorothy Must Die.</span></div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm not gonna lie, it took me <i>forever</i> to read through <i>No Place Like Oz</i> which is strange right? Considering how much I love <i>Wizard Of Oz</i>? But I don't know, there was something about it that just rubbed me the wrong way...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I did want to finish it though because <i>Dorothy Must Die</i> is coming out soon and I thought I'd get a little inside on what this series is about.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>No Place Like Oz</i> does a great job of setting you up for the next book by telling you a story about Dorothy. A new story. She's come back to Oz to help save Glinda but the characters in this book are nothing like the ones you've read in the classics or have seen in the movie adaptation. Hell, they're nothing like the ones even seen in <i>Wicked</i>! I can tell you this much, this. book. is. crazy. Completely off the rocker <i>crazy</i>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The plot moves a little slowly and it takes awhile for you to bump into any familiar faces but once you do, it takes off from there! Like I said, Dorothy is back in Oz with the help from a gift from Glinda and this time she's brought her Aunt and Uncle with her.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In the beginning of the book we see what Dorothy's life is like after coming back from Oz. Her Aunt had thrown her a birthday party and invited some girls from her school who I suppose don't really like her and Dorothy's attitude through out the whole even really spoke a lot about her character. She didn't appreciate the effort from her Aunt all she was obsessed with was getting back to Oz. And once they got there... her character took an even worse turn.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I think the thing that really rubbed me the wrong way about this book was Dorothy. Everything she did and said was completely out of character. I know there was an element that encouraged this from here but it still rubbed me the wrong way. The fact that she was acting this way and the fact that she wasn't the level headed Dorothy we've grown to know and love. She should had been aware something was wrong. She should had been able to step back and fix it. It seemed like her heart wasn't with her Aunt and Uncle anymore but filled with hunger for power.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ozma leaned down and patted Toto on the head. He was so happy to be back that he was running in circles. "And this is little Tutu?" He snarled at her. Toto didn't like it when people got his name wrong. "Toto," I corrected quickly. </div>
</blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I honestly loved that Ozma made an appearance in this book and I wish we were able to know more about her.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
While this installment left me aching for the next book, like I said, it still sort of left a bad taste in my mouth just because of Dorothy's attitude. </div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Yes yes, I've <i>finally</i> given in and started reading The Mortal Instruments series. Honestly, I've put it off for the last 5 years (haha dangggg) because the books are so intimidatingly huge! But I inhaled <i>City of Bones</i> and <i>City of Ashes</i> was worse, I got through the whole book in FOUR HOURS. I was up til 5AM reading it. No joke. I could NOT put it down. I haven't done this since <i>Twilight</i>. I mean I coulda done it but I think the fact that there's still more to this series left and I don't have to wait another year for the next book is what's encouraging me to just fly by these reads. But still, I never thought I'd get through one of Cassandra's books lol! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm debating on how to review it... mainly because <i>there's so much to say</i> and I know not <i>everyone</i> has read these books so I don't want to be spoilery but I want to discuss things too... ah, the struggle! Maybe I'll just put up a spoiler warning before launching into it?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've been wayyyy behind on my books for review and it's frustrating when you see a book you know you were suppose to review on a B&N shelf. It's like *GGGAAAASP!!!* haha. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I told my husband I flew by <i>City of Ashes</i> in 4 hours and all he could say was "good to have you back boo." haha!! </div>

<br />
<br />
<center>
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/fhcpubAVdmc" width="560"></iframe>
</center>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I think Ariana is simply beautiful!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love her hair. I remember reading an article about her talking about how she always has it half up/half down because her hair is super damaged from dying it all the time for the TV show she's on so she can't do a lot with it anymore :\ but it always looks so flawless! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love this video, masquerade masks? Romeo & Juliet themed? A cute Romeo? I mean, <i>hello</i>!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Plus it doesn't hurt that this song puts me in all kinds of good moods :)</div>

This isn't really a feature I do here, it's one I usually do on my <a href="http://www.afairytalelifestyle.com/" target="_blank">Lifestyle Blog</a> (and you'll see a post similar to this if you click over there today). I come across all these amazing quotes and graphics and inspiring things on Pinterest all the time and I figured, if I'm inspired why not share that? The world can never have <i>too much</i> inspiration floating around, amiright?</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzdaocwWBEpsSqpna51VrImfZJOeMhfy6-ZsQ5zQRVqAzTFNvq1Td3vHAo3P15igDmW2gqQev2Ad3BL9eLhZ_DP85dOAjIXk7xP4kIIlkH8Pd_3LtJEBD4TchzGCBsXmn18GIUD3z9OoY/s1600/38c3091f0b4e4f88efc55b0ce9855caf.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzdaocwWBEpsSqpna51VrImfZJOeMhfy6-ZsQ5zQRVqAzTFNvq1Td3vHAo3P15igDmW2gqQev2Ad3BL9eLhZ_DP85dOAjIXk7xP4kIIlkH8Pd_3LtJEBD4TchzGCBsXmn18GIUD3z9OoY/s1600/38c3091f0b4e4f88efc55b0ce9855caf.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I feel like this quote has been following me around since NaNoWriMo last year. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There's so much truth to this quote --- it's always easier to <i>not</i> do something in fear of <i>failing</i> then to actually <i>do </i>it and deal with <i>disappointment</i>. But the first step to do something is well... to actually do it, right? By not doing anything, you're failing. By not trying, you're giving up before you even start.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But <i>starting</i> is so scary when you're unsure of how to even do something or dealing with being disappointed with the outcome.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But... how can you improve if you don't even know where you stand?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
No one is just born knowing how to do something. They're taught. They learn. They struggle before succeeding. That's the whole point. Seeing how far you've gone. Learning. Expanding. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So this week instead of <i>not</i> doing something because I'm afraid of failing, I'll suck it and <b>just do it</b>. Because at least I took that first step.</div>
<br />

I have not posted a book haul since <i>June of 2013</i> that is <b>insane</b> to think about considering how many books I get. I think the whole thing that happened with MMI awhile ago sort of... I dunno. I like being organized and prompt and bouncing around to which book haul to do makes me feel disorganized.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Since it's a new year and I'm hoping to get fully back into this I'm going to <i>start over</i> even though I hate the idea. So here's <i>my</i> book haul --- <b>Recent Obtained Reads</b>. I know, the title kinda sucks but it's the best I could do lol! Whatever, you're not here to hear me go on about picking a feature name, you're here to see books!</div>

LONDON</span></div>
<div align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
By Chanel Cleeton</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
The story behind I SEE LONDON has been in my head for almost
ten years. When I was seventeen years old I moved to London to attend an
international university. It was an incredible, life-changing experience. Like
my heroine, Maggie, I’d lived a pretty sheltered life up until that point. I
was born in a relatively small town in Florida. I lived there until high school
when I moved to a suburb of Orlando, which was a big adjustment, but nowhere
near prepared me for the excitement of London.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Moving across the ocean was a huge risk but it was also an
enormous opportunity. One that ultimately was one of the best decisions I’ve
ever made. As soon as my plane touched down in London, I was in love. I don’t
know what it was about London, but from the beginning it just felt like home.
Every day was a new adventure. I was surrounded by people speaking different
languages. I was constantly trying new foods and exploring new places. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
London is such a mix of rich history contrasted against a
bustling metropolis. It was easy to feel like I was caught between two time
periods. At times I felt like I was back in the seventeenth century—surrounded
by gorgeous architecture and the quiet elegance of Hyde Park. Other times I was
surrounded by bright lights and the noise of snarling traffic in an
overwhelming modern city. It’s such a city of contradictions. Perhaps that’s
why I loved it so—it was impossible to get bored.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Attending an international university was also an incredible
experience, independent from all that London had to offer. I learned as much
from my classmates and their life experiences as I did from my professors. It
was an amazing opportunity to learn more about other cultures and in doing so I
found that I learned so much more about myself. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
When I started writing I SEE LONDON I knew I wanted to
explore the theme of coming of age in a setting where you’re a fish out of
water, learning to adapt to a completely new environment. I really saw it as an
opportunity to take the central theme of New Adult—which I love so much—and
combine it with the adventure of traveling to a new country and stepping
outside of your comfort zone for the ultimate journey of self discovery. I
found myself in <a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="GoBack"></a>London and I loved writing the opportunity
for my heroine, Maggie, to do the same. </div>

<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;">Today, I have something <i>super</i> exciting to share --- a cover reveal by the amazing Cora Carmack's new upcoming series. It's no secret that I <i>loved</i> her "Losing It" series so I'm super excited for this upcoming one as well!</span></span></div>

<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;">Here's a bit of info on the book first ;) </span><i><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></i></span></div>

<span style="color: black;"><i><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;">In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.</span></i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></span></span></div>

<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;">Dallas
Cole loathes football. That's what happens when you spend your whole
childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out
of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her
past.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;">But
life doesn't always go as planned. As if going to the same college as
her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school
coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the
new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows
of her father and football all over again.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></span></div>

<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;">Carson
McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the
starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football
provides. But when a beautiful redhead <i>literally </i>falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It's obliterated.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;">Dallas doesn't know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn't know that Dallas is his new coach's daughter.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">

<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;">Cora
Carmack is a twenty-something writer who likes to write about
twenty-something characters. She's done a multitude of things in her
life-- boring jobs (like working retail), Fun jobs (like working in a
theatre), stressful jobs (like teaching), and dream jobs (like writing).
She enjoys placing her characters in the most awkward situations
possible, and then trying to help them get a boyfriend out of it.
Awkward people need love, too. Her first book, LOSING IT, was a New York
Times and USA Today bestseller.</span></div>
