Me & Monday

The weather is dropping so thank goodness for that, I'm so over summer. Who's with me?! I'm excited that stores are now getting ready for the fall and Halloween! I see lots of crafting for Halloween in my future ;)! Hubby is watching Supernatural and it's sort of distracting me. Which is weird because this show light weight freaks me out!

• This week has been super stressful. I was suppose to post a Books & Beauty post but I figure I'd just wait until next week instead.
• I found the charger for my camera battery so yay! Better quality than my MacBook webcam! Which as been really bothering me. Now if only I could find a camera with HD and a non cluttered background. I know, never satisfied right?!
• I also found the charger to hubby's 3DS, yay! Now I can play Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance!
• The kittens are getting bigger! Cham-Cham has been following me around lately, especially inside every single bathroom in the house lol.
• I need to catch up on my NetGalley and Vine reviews. I think I might have overwhelmed myself.
• I finished Every Day last night and it was one of those books that give me strange dreams...
• My blog needs a bit of updating and I really need to get on that!

Me & Monday

Okay, seriously, I'm doing too many of these but for the record, for good reason!

• One more Math II class and I'm done with Math! I'm so excited! Now to just get through this final...
• Taking a very very much needed academic break so yay for more time to work on the blog!
• My Financial Adviser can suck me. Seriously. This is like the 3rd time this year he's screwed up my grants.
• We have 3 kittens. Seriously.  No idea how this happened! Snow, Cham-Cham and Chocolate/Brownie (I don't think my mom can make up her mind...). WHY DO WE HAVE THREE KITTENS?!

• Haven't read all week, which sucks. I hate reading slumps. Hopefully after Math is done I can pull myself out!
• Thinking of finally getting things together to open my fairy tale shop.
• Applied to volunteer at my library. The Young Adult librarian is kind of an ass (at first impression) but I would love to work there!
• My in-laws left to attend my sister in law's Marines graduation. Even though they're like a week early. I can't believe she's done already!!
• Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance comes out tomorrow :D so excited!
• I've been obsessed with raw Salmon Sushi lately!

I dunno what else to say lol. But yay for almost being done with Math. Finally! Finally! I can't wait for some free time and pulling myself out of this reading slump!

Me & Monday

I was going to write a Monday Movie Review but I didn't really have one that would really match the book I'll be reviewing this week and sometimes I'm sort of weird like that. So I decided to do a Me & Monday instead because it's been awhile since I did and I wanted to announce...

July will be dedicated to Middle Grade!

I'm pretty excited about this, I've been meaning to cut back on reading books for review and read more Middle Grade but I instantly feel guilty so I decided to set aside a whole month to just Middle Grade titles. The only thing that sucks is that I wish I had more time to review two books a week instead of just one but you gotta do what you're capable of doing at the time! Also, mid-July I'll be doing a giveaway for a copy of Chris Colfer's new book. I haven't figured out if it will be signed yet or not, that depends on my bookstore.

But other things that have been going on...

• We "adopted" a kitten and hubby named her Snow (after the FFXIII character)! She's super teeny tiny and she loves cuddling up next to hubs and sleeping. 

• I got a new job as a Travel Agent :D :D :D I'm super excited about this!
• I finished Math I (finally) and barely passed, but I passed!
• I start Math II tomorrow and I'm not excited. Five week and I won't have to take math ever again!
• Hubs and I have been catching up on Once Upon a Time and it's so much more intense than I thought it would be!
• Can you believe it's already JULY?! I'm excited it's almost Fall! :D
• I desperately need to clean out my bookshelves!
• I'm thinking of changing the layout to this blog. I've had this Wizard of Oz one up for about 2 years now and while I still LOVE it very much, I think I need to move on. I'm sad. Seriously.
• I've been doing a good job of convincing myself I don't need more books. It's been working for the last 3 weeks (hence the lack of Books & Beauty features). Let's hope it still goes strong lol.

I had plans to film my Books & Beauty this whole weekend but that didn't really work out. It's been too hot here to concentrate lately (and we don't have A/C. WHY). I also was unable to write up a Monday Movie Review post. Blarg!

• I don't know if it's because it's summer & all my friends are on vacation but I'm really not digging the idea of school and class right now. Damn you year round colleges!
• Math isn't impossible but it isn't cake either. I have a good feeling about this class though so I'll stick it out.
• Four more months until I get to take a break and go on vacation with two friends/co-workers from Disney! I'm so excited!
• I managed to finish I think 3 books this weekend. Wow, three books in a weekend? I'm on a roll guys!
• I've been catching up on my NetGalley titles and it feels nice (:
• Is it just me or are a lot of YA contemps coming out kind of... depressing?
• I attended the Fierce Reads Tour this passed weekend. Which was the shortest book event I've ever been to lol
• I GET TO SEE WICKED THIS WEEK. OH YES!!!
• I'm working on getting book review vlogs 
• I have a fiction giveaway going on next week that looks really good!
• I'll also have a super exciting giveaway next month :D
• Annnnnnd that's all I got lol

Me & Monday

Hai! I know it's been a few weeks longer than I had intented to be away... but school has really been kicking my ass lately. I just got done with a religion class (I LOVED) where I had to do a group presentation every week (and I'm awful at public speaking, you'd think that making youtube videos would help, but nooo) and now I'm in Bio which sucks and I have Algebra I next. I haven't taken Algebra since high school... ten years ago. Yeah.

So anyway, things that have been up!

What is it with science books always using spiders as an example?!

• Helping a Disney friend write his first novel which is pretty exciting!
• Helping hubby finish his first novel (which he's been working on on and off since 2006)
• I managed to finish 2 books last week (YAYYYYY!!!)
• Dealing with friendship betrayal, which is always fun.... /sarcasm
• Playing video games again. Oh how I've missed it!
• Launching a food blog because it's about time I do
• Attempting to eat/drink healthier
• Listening to more music :D
• Husband took me to Vegas for a vacation getaway that we so desperately needed
• My sister in law left for basic training to the MARINES on Sunday. Uh yeah.
• Thinking of doing discussion posts...

You ever have those periods of time in your life where you feel yourself slipping away from... well yourself? And sometimes you feel it start to creepy slowly back? I'm stuck in one of those. Trying to get back into things I enjoy doing is a little hard with how busy school is making me but I'm seriously trying.

I'm glad my reading rut has slowly backed off. I've missed reading so much. Lets hope it sticks around for awhile longer, yes?
