Music has always been a huge part of my life, lately it's been absent but it's only because there isn't anything good on the radio anymore! Well, as far as Hip Hop goes. I've been listening to a lot of old school Alternative and Rock lately, so I avoid the radio. Not to say that there isn't ever anything good, but it's not like before when the radio didn't give me a huge headache.

Top Five All Time Favorite Albums

Wicked (2003 Original Broadway Cast)Wicked Soundtrack
This is more recent, but I'm sure it's something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. It should be no secret that I'm a huge Wicked fan :)

I'm so sad the SF production is closing in a few weeks, I have no idea what I'll do once it's over, it was my once-a-month-stress-reliever!

Personal ConversationCase: Personal Conversation
Ah, this reminds me of 8th grade summer vacation! One of the first CD's that I could let the whole CD run and not have to skip tracks!

SuperheroBrian McKnight: Superhero
I played this CD out in high school! I love the tracks on it (even if they are mostly sad depressing love songs) and the memory behind this CD. It was from my brother, who was a klepto when he was younger, sweet gift. Especially since he hates songs like this lol

Hybrid TheoryLinkin Park: Hybrid Theory
You know how some people have songs or albums that literally saved their life? Well this album literally saved my life. I'm not a huge Linkin Park fan, I'm bigger than that! If you've seen my vlogs, I have Linkin Park posters on my wall behind me. I also have a poster on my door and I have a few hoodies and shirts... keychains... I think you get the point lol. I absolutely love Linkin Park!

Year of the GentlemanNe-Yo: Year of the Gentleman
I had a hard time picking which Ne-Yo album I wanted to feature. I love all 3 of them, but of all the 3 this one gets played the most. I love Ne-Yo, I think his music is genius. I don't see what took him so long to come out as a recording artist. But I'm glad he did!

What are your all time favorite albums?

Thursday, August 5, 2010

Another week down? Time is traveling much too fast, but the upside of that is: getting closer to all the yummy new book releases at the end of the month and Fall! Anyone else tired of summer?

I'm not big on movies, maybe as a kid I was, but not so much these days. I do however have my top five favorites! Some of which I watched over and over again as a kid and I still watch over and over again today!

Top Five All Time Favorite Movies

Return to OzReturn to Oz

You must all know by now how much I love Wizard of Oz and Wicked and all that! But I have to say, Return to Oz is my favorite! It doesn't get much attention, not like Wizard of Oz does but it's still a great sequel with a different set of characters! Tick Tock is probably my favorite. And Ozma! The Wheelers still freak me out, even if I am older!

HookHook

Oh how I love this movie! And of course, you gotta love Rufio! Peter Pan isn't my favorite Disney movie, but I do love Hook!

Alice in Wonderland (2-Disc Special Un-Anniversary Edition)
     Alice in Wonderland

One of my top favorite Disney movies, ever! What isn't there to love about Alice, The Mad Hatter, The White Rabbit or the Cheshire Cat?

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland      Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

My favorite live action version of the movie. I grew up watching this! The lizard who gets his tail pulled off by the anger  white rabbit! And the candies she eats, I always pretended I had some too :)

Serendipity           Serendipity

I discovered this movie in 2001 and I literally watched it every night for a week (along with Bring it On)! I don't know why, but I just LOVE this movie! And I finally got to try Serendipity last year during my wedding weekend! An 8 year wait that was well worth the wait! I didn't get to go to the one in NY though, I went to the one in Las Vegas lol. But oh man, their waffle fries and Frozen Hot Chocolate? DELICIOUS!

Hugga Bunch [VHS]Hugga Bunch

I haven't watched this since I was a kid, but I remember it! I look up clips on youtube lol. They haven't released this in DVD yet and if they have, I can't find it anywhere! I absolutely love this movie!

Stepping through the mirror to a different land. The evil queen with her plump, glowing, delicious looking cherries and her pretty crystal bowl! The bookworm that was at that stand for no reason... ah! How I miss watching this movie!

Those aren't all my favorite movies, but they're my top five! I should had made it my top eight... or top ten... but I like to keep things consistent, so top five it'll have to stay.

What are your top five favorite movies?

Thursday, July 29, 2010

So I decided to start a new thing here, every Thursday, I'll post a Top Five list. Anything from my top five favorite books or movies to my top five favorite ice cream flavors. I want to include personal things about me too, so it's not just a blog full of reviews but I don't feel comfortable making a normal "so today..." blog post. Plus, I like lists :)

Top Five All Time Favorite Books

Timeless LoveTimeless Love by Judith O'Brien

I absolutely adore this book. One of my favorites when I was younger and it still is today! I was always a sucker for history and romance and this luckily has both. I haven't read it in awhile though, I recently finally found my copy... I'm thinking of re-reading it some time soon just for old times sake!

Message in a Bottle  Message in a Bottle by Nicolas Sparks

I've always been a fan of Nicolas Sparks. I love how all his novels have tragic endings. It's always tragic endings that stay with me the longest. I don't know why I love this book so much more than the others, to be honest. But I always find myself craving to read this time and time again.

For Better, For Worse, ForeverFor Better, For Worse, Forever by Lurlene McDaniel

So before I was a fan of Nicolas Sparks, I was a fan of Lurlene McDaniel... for the same reason. Tragic endings! This was one of my absolute favorite ones. A Walk to Remember reminds me of it, a lot. I didn't know this was a squeal at the time I read it, and I recently got my hands on the first book. So imagine my excitement lol.

Finding LauraFinding Laura by Kay Hooper

A friend of mine insisted I borrowed this back in high school. And I'm glad she did! I believe in past lifetimes and again with the history-ish going on in this. It was an intriguing and interesting read. Now if only I could find more past lifetime-ish books :)

Stealing Heaven  Stealing Heaven by Elizabeth Scott

This is a recent addition to my all time top five list. But there's just something about this book that just grabbed me. I find myself itching to read it over and over all the time. I love the sarcasm and the humor in Elizabeth Scott's books.

What are your all time top five books? Have a suggestion for what my next top five list should be? Feel free to let me know what I should list off next :)
