I'm sorry I've been MIA, this will be the second week that I haven't posted any reviews and I'm pretty disappointed in myself. I know I shouldn't be, but I like to keep things consistent! I think one of my resolutions for next year will be to accept that sometimes life gets in the way!
I had my last night of school on Monday. I get to enjoy a four month break. If you count moving across the country and starting a full time job as a "break". I'm just happy I don't have to write a 1,050 word paper on anticommunism like the rest of my class (at least, not yet) lol. I thought I'd have more time once school was over, but I think I'm much more busy! Christmas is coming up way too fast. I've spent the last week and a half buying gifts, shipping gifts (next year, I'll shop and shift gifts before December. The post office was crazy!), wrapping gifts and trying to figure out what I'm going to pack (which I still haven't figured out). Husband as been urging me to decide which books I'm bringing with me and which ones are staying (uhm, what?).
I went to donate some books to my elementary school yesterday. The last time I went to visit was in 2004, it has changed so much. I took husband on a tour. Pointed out all my classes and stuff. Before that we went to visit our high school and say bye to some of our favorite teachers. They painted a mural of our vice president on the wall, he retired last year. He's holding up a peace sign, it's pretty funny lol.
It's so weird, I always wanted to get out of this small going nowhere town and now that I am... I realize how much I'll miss the routine, the familiar roads and places. I'm going somewhere I've never been to before. I don't know where anything is, I don't know what their laws are, I don't know anything. And it's exciting and scary all at the same time.
So please excuse that I haven't written anything lately. I'm trying to get everything done this week so next week I can go back to my constancy here. I hope you're all having a wonderful week and not too stressed out about the holidays!
I'll also be announcing the winner of my holiday giveaway tomorrow! I might not mail it out until after Christmas, depending on how crazy the post office will be on Monday!
Ok, I can't remember where you are moving to. Did you tell us and I am losing my mind? I hope the holidays are wonderful for you and that you figure out what to do with all your books!
ReplyDeleteOh man, I know this feeling so so well. I felt the same way just before I moved to England. I was terrified I'd accidentally break the law or some major taboo. But you'll get through it and be a pro before you know it. Where are you moving?
ReplyDeleteGood luck with things!
Congrats on finishing everything up and I'm excited for your break (even though it sounds like you'll be quite busy!)
