☃ Monday Movie Review: A Christmas Story

A Christmas Story
Released: Nov 18th, 1983
Studio: Warner Bros
Run Time: 94 mins
Source: Bought
Summary (IMDb):
Ralphie, a young boy growing up in the '40's, dreams of owning a Red Rider BB gun. He sets out to convince the world this is the perfect gift. But along the way, he runs into opposition from his parents, his teacher, and even good 'ol Santa Claus himself.

A Christmas Story is one of those movies that I grew up watching every holiday season.

Ralphie dreams of owning a Red Rider BB Gun and decides to ask for one for Christmas. The only problem is, his parents are completely against this idea. As is his teacher... and even Santa. Through out Ralphie's journey on how to convince his parents that they're wrong, that he won't shoot his eye out, we go through the motions of his life. His bullied walks to school, the silly things kids do on playgrounds, and his life at home with his family.

While I do enjoy watching this movie every holiday season, there really isn't much to say unfortunately. What I do love about it is Ralphie's constant in my head commentary and his little brother being wrapped in so many layers of clothes that he can't put his arms down!

Do you have any must watch holiday movies?
